Why not just use your mobile phone and tether it to your devices? Digi mobile do excellent packages have used them throughout Europe for many years

Ah ok, thank you. I’m with Vodafone UK and need to connect my MacBook so that I can have video calls for work. Will tethering a) be able to handle video calls, and b) be expensive through Vodafone UK? Can I use Digi with Voda UK?

Thanks for your help,

Rufe

I have no experience with Vodafone uk but I am sure you can teather with that but would not know the cost.
I have streamed with digi and my partner with another company from Cartagena (don't know the server ) so am sure video calls would be no problem

If you're with Vodaphone UK, it's likely to be expensive, unless you've had the same contract with them for a very long time. Apart from their general monthly costs, they also want a daily (!) fee of £6.00 - £6.85 (depending on your contract) just for connecting you to the Internet in another country, including Spain, even though one of the biggest networks in Spain is - take a wild guess - Vodaphone Spain!! You would be far better off subscribing to a suitable VPN for streaming (not all do), like Nord (others are available) - costs less than £3.00/month if you buy a 2-year subscription.

👍 Just a rider to my previous message - because VPN "tunneling" places your connection in the country of your choice (e.g. the UK), you should be able to access whatever mobile services you have in the UK without any additional charge (from the service provider/s). Thus, less than £3.00/month is significantly cheaper than £6.00+/day. Alternatively, if you visit Spain/roam regularly, there are far better, more flexible, and equally reliable UK contracts to be had for this type of contingency. It's well worth shopping around as this market is changing continually and rapidly.
